Aesthetic Places and the Art Classroom This chapter describes our work in a classroom and our efforts to weave new meaning into our lives outside the classroom. It explores our attempt to sparkle at the intersection of culture, the aesthetic experience, the search for sacred, and the kind of wildness Thoreau described. It is the record of our endeavors to understand who we are, and our glimpses of an education that honors the places where we live and the many communities woven into our lives.
